Have you heard of GM ( Genetically Modified) crops?

Genetically Modified crops are not new but the scientific community is still debating their safety and consumers around the world are saying NO. Less than 3% of the world’s agricultural land is under GM crops cultivation; many countries want to remain GM-free. They see GM as a threat to health, environment, food safety and seed sovereignty. Seed companies are looking for receptive markets and politicians. India is a prime target. Genetically Modified (GM) crops are usually made by crossing the genes of unrelated species, in an attempt to transfer a desired trait.
